Jessica Green
Jessica Green is an emerging artist from Dallas, Texas, who is passionate about expressing stories and experiences through art in public spaces. She graduated from the University of North Texas in 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Art and Design Studies and minors in sculpture, art history, and social sciences. Green is primarily interested in using digital methods to produce sculptures, paintings, and graphic art. Her work aims to focus on the connections that technology shares with humans and nature.
Green is always looking for the next opportunity to create proposals for public sculptures and murals. Her proposal for a light sculpture, in collaboration with artist Yara Jones, was selected in 2021 and 2022 to be displayed at the Dallas music festival, Lights All Night, with over 40,000 attendees. In 2022, Green was commissioned by the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area and the City of Lewisville Public Art Committee to paint a mural on the exterior walls of the UNT research building. She was also commissioned by the City of Bedford in 2022 to create a permanent, site-specific sculpture for the opening of the new park, Generations Park at Boys Ranch. Green is now the Cultural Arts Assistant for the City of Bedford, assisting and co-coordinating the cultural and public art programming for the city.
